Esra Duzen before. So we were keen to give her an 'in The Frame' moment, this autumn. This highly-symbolic, hand painted artwork is best understood through the artist's own words
"When I painted this I thought about all the inequality and injustice in the world and how we are all enslaved to some degree, be it physically, spiritually or financially.
These black octopuses are representing our enslavers, who are hiding the key. But that the key to enlightenment and freedom is always to be found for those who search for it. We should look for what is being hidden from us and what actually belongs to us. We are stronger than we think."
